We are excited to invite you to the Kellogg School of Management’s 30th Annual Black Management Association Conference (BMAC), held on Saturday October 29th, 2016!
This year’s theme, “The Blueprint: Designing the Foundation for our Tomorrow”, focuses on leveraging the learnings from the past 30 years to envision a blueprint for success in the future. We are proud of the progress that Black leaders have made in various industries over the past couple of decades, and seek to highlight that success. We also know that continued progress, especially in these challenging times, will require us to:
- "GROW" together by sharing inspirational stories of success and perseverance in the face adversity and examining how to use your position to ease the path for the next generation.
- "STRENGTHEN" individual resolve to maintain your authentic self in the workplace and outline how to form strategic partnerships with other communities to create value through diversity of thought and perspective.
Having a blueprint - an idea of what the future could be - no matter how rough or messy, is essential to take the first step forward. There are basic structures that the wisdom of those with experience can help us start with, but that is only the first draft. Inevitably, each of us will add our own elements, erase some ideas and redraw them to better suit the changing times and environment. Through this year’s conference we hope to uncover some of those basic structures and work together to sketch the next draft of a better future for us all.
We hope that you join us for this amazing event!
